Wireless Testbed

The wireless network was developed by using the off-the-shelf wireless cards. All the machines used in the testbed have two interfaces, wired and wireless. All the management and control part of the experiments run on the wired part, while the experiments run on the operational wireless network. A total of 16 wireless network nodes are present in the testbed. One of the node is generally used as an Access Point (AP), two nodes are used as sniffer nodes, and the remaining 13 nodes can be used as station (STA) nodes. Sniffer nodes are used to monitor and capture the data on the wireless channel. The traces from these sniffer stations are then combined. The experiments are initialized, controlled, monitored and stored on a central machine. Programs written in c++ and matlab are used to extract, analyze and display the results in a meaningful manner.
