Information for Speakers
Prospective speakers should contact the convenor with a title, abstract,
preferred dates, and bio. For internal speakers the bio can be very short,
for example: Albert Einstein is a PhD student in CUBIN under the supervision of John Howard.
Slides should be provided to the convenor for posting on the webpage.
Please don't forget to provide the slides, and please try to make the file size reasonable,
for example saving as pdf with some compression option may reduce figures substantially.
Speakers are asked to plan for a 40-45 minute talk, to allow ample time
for questions and discussion. Guest speakers, be forewarned that
CUBIN seminars are usually quite interactive. However, if interruptions
from the audience disturb you, you are welcome to ask that questions be kept to the end.
CUBIN members
CUBIN members should use the standard CUBIN template for all talks, both inside and outside of CUBIN. This is available for both LaTeX and Micro$oft users. If anyone has any suggested improvements to these templates, please contact the template author.
Beamer Template
Paul has produced a clean green Beamer theme to produce nice slides for your CUBIN seminars, get the archive here.
