NAME

readtscskew - read the current tsc conversion constant

SYNOPSIS

readtscskew

DESCRIPTION

readtscskew is used to read the current TSC conversion constants which are estimated by the tscskewd daemon. If tscskewd is not currently running, this program will exit with an error. If tscskewd is running, then this program will report the current count, time and offset values as estimated by tscskewd. These can then be used to convert TSC counter values into timestamps.

SEE ALSO

More information about the accuracy of TSC timing methods can be found by looking at the CUBINlab website. Visit <http://www.cubinlab.ee.unimelb.edu.au/probing/> for articles and complete up-to-date active probing software packages.
